Coronation Scramble
10 mixed teams of 4 took to the fairways to mark the start of a new season and to celebrate the impending Coronation. A thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all 40 competitors who all enjoyed a wonderful buffet provided by the Ladies Section.
The winning team were Richard Tripp, James Gould, Barbara Cox & Rosemary Black with a fantastic 19.75. Runners up were Gordon Neal, Richard Stapleton, Mary Edwards & Sylvia Sellwood with 25.1 .
The 4 Mens Longest Drive winners were, Ray Bilton, Mike York, Bill Field & Rob Martin. The Ladies 4 Longest Drive winners were Nicola McColm, Mona Butler, Lisa Ludewig & Rosemary Black.
Further winners on the day were Guess the Tees, won by Mary Wearn. Guess the Weight of the Coronation Cake was won by Marion Hayes. And the two Corgi names were George & Gracie and the correct guessers were Lisa Ludewig & Jackie Cogswell.
