Ron Hill - RIP
Ron & wife Sue were members in Deanwoods' opening year and stayed more than 15 years before moving on to Donnington Grove. Ron captained the club alongside Allison Holmes in 2007/08. Wife Sue had been Lady Captain the previous season and she went on to repeat her captaincy again several years later.
Ron was a very supportive club member and fiercely competitive on the golf course. As you can see from the trophies he proudly holds in the photos below. It wasn't only on the golf course, as Ron was also a very accomplished table tennis player in local leagues as well.
Many Saturday regulars still remember Ron & Sue and will no doubt raise a glass to him this week.
Ron's funeral is on Thursday 16th February, 2pm at West Berks Crematorium.
