Lockdown Update
Dear Golfers
Last night the Prime Minister announced that the rules on exercise were to be loosened with the implication that golf courses can open from Wednesday (13/5), albeit with some severe limits on their use. The government has promised more clarity on the new guidance today and we will need to digest this before we can move forward. This means we will not be able to open on Wednesday but will endeavour to do so as soon as possible
As you are aware, we rely on a steady stream of pay and play gofers, societies and clubhouse revenue to make our business viable; the playing restrictions mean this will be reduced dramatically and we have to assess how best to operate in a manner that allows you to play golf without us putting the future of the club in jeopardy. The health of our members and regular visitors remains paramount, but the future of the company and the livelihood of the staff are major issues that require the utmost consideration in our decision making.
