Alan Lawrence RIP
It is with huge sadness that the club has to announce the death today (Friday 29th November) of Alan Lawrence at the age of 86.
Alan joined Deanwood in 2005 was always active in the Seniors Section and was a founder member of the Deans'. He was immensely popular with all who knew him at Deanwood and elsewhere and will be sadly missed. He passed away watching the racing from Newbury this afternoon having felt unwell since the previous evening.
The funeral will take place on Friday 20th December, 10.30am at West Berkshire Crematorium. A reception will follow at approximately 11.30am at Deanwood Park in the main clubhouse bar. All our welcome but family flowers only at the funeral.
The bar will be closed to the public from 11.30-2.00pm and there will be no Seniors Competition on that day. The Seniors tee times will still be available if anyone wishes to just play golf.
