July Medal Results
In only her second competition Julie Myall
won the Deanwood Ladies July Medal by a whopping 6 shots. Myalls excellent
score of net 56 from a handicap of 29 was too good for her rivals on the day
and she will surely attract a reduction from the handicapper. Sheila Darrington
was 2nd with 62 & Laura Hawkins was 3rd with 63.
Michele Paduano won the Seniors July Medal
at Deanwood with a net 55 from his 17 handicap. This was 5 shots clear of
runner up John Brazendale and 3rd placed Les Hargreaves who had to
be separated by a countback on net 60.
Kevin Carver won the Mens 0-18 Medal on
Saturday by 2 shots from Peter Sharp and Bob Hamnett was a further shot back in
3rd with 58.
The 19-28 Medal was won by Nigel Slattery
with net 61 but only after a countback from Cliff Josling who had a slightly
inferior back 9. Andy Couling was in 3rd on net 65.
